Health and Safety

Due to the nature of our business, health and safety is paramount to Silo Cleaning Services and have a wide range of safety rules and documentation. Our operatives have vast experience of silo cleaning/silo clearance in the milling and animal feed industries and operate in safe and responsible manner in both the workplace and on customers sites. All our equipment is fully tested by an external company every 6 months. All our work is covered fully by Public & Employees Liability insurance.

All our operative are holders of:

• IOSH/SPA Food Safety Passport
• Confined Space Working certificates
• Mobile Elevated Work Platform Licence
• Igrox certificates for spraying services

All our operatives are fully trained and conversant in:

• Confined space entry procedures
• Mandatory permit to work procedures
• Safe use of equipment
• Gas monitoring equipment
• Escape sets
• Emergency rescue procedures and first aid
• Spraying

By using traditional methods of cleaning and our high regard to safety we can efficiently clean/inspect and safely clear bridged/rat-holed/held up produce, therefore reducing the risk of damage caused to the silo or discharge mechanisms. No access will be made unless it is safe to do so and the correct equipment is in place and Permit to Work has been issued.

Insurance certificates, equipment test certificates and the mandatory method statement and risk assessment documents to be available before any work commences.
